Original c.1910 Hat

This week's project: reproducing this original c.1910 wire frame hat. These are pictures of the original hat, found here.

The entire frame - including the sideband and crown - will be created from rayon wrapped millinery wire. Black silk velvet will then be draped over the sideband and crown, and the brim covered in antique black lace. The trim is yet to be determined but will consist of some sort of feather and beaded trim inspired by this original.

Isn't the lining lovely?

Antique Lace to be used in reproduction.

Other projects currently in the process of finishing:
Yellow Silk Robe a l'Anglaise
Orange Silk 1860s Bonnet
Blue Wool 1860s Dress
Black Wool 1860s Dress
Blue Silk Wrapper
All of these are close to the finishing line, and will hopefully be completed by the time school starts next Monday!

What a lovely hat, I am anxious to see the finished project...I LOVE hats and am thinking they should be brought back in style.
