Chadds Ford Days 2015

In September my mother and I attended Chadds Ford Days at the Chadds Ford Historical Society to participate in 18th century dancing with a local dance troupe. Since the occasion was planned at the last minute I didn't have the chance to make a new outfit. Coincidentally, my mother and I both wore jackets that were some of the first costumes that I created back in High School. The silk bonnet that my mother wore was one that I created several years ago for a fashion show at Rock Ford Plantation. It was a rainy day but a beautiful setting and an event that I will want to return to in modern clothes next year to shop at the fabulous vintage and antique vendors, eat the delicious foods catered from local restaurants, and walk the historic grounds - dog in tow! It was the perfect autumn historical fair experience!

  1. Gorgeous!!! You both look absolutely lovely. And I love seeing the jackets - my mom and I are working on 18th century outfits right now, so I am happy to find more inspiration! :)
