Fancy Dress Costume: Personification of Photography & Harem Girl

Here are a few more photos of my Personification of Photography costume made for the 2015 Civilian Symposium Fancy Dress dinner. I can't wait to make a few minor updates and have my wetplate image made wearing it!

My mother also attended the Fancy Dress dinner. She wore a Harem costume inspired by a painting of Empress Eugenie in a similar costume.

Painting of Empress Eugenie in an Orientalist fancy dress costume. I have been unable to locate the title of this painting.

This is the dress just after it was first made. I made it to wear to a Fancy Dress ball hosted by AGSAS a number of years ago. My mother made the coordinating Swiss waist with soutache braid that she wore with the dress.
